How should you react to someone’s lack of belief in you or negative belief towards you or someone that has a different belief than you?
Now, the best way to prove someone wrong is let your success speak for itself, it is to do your best, to put in the work and display positive behaviors and actions.
Without challenging them, just look at them and say ‘I know what I am doing and I will continue to do what I am doing. I respect your opinion but things doesn’t have to go exactly the way you think it should go. I know that this is not going to be easy or an overnight process but I am going to work hard and consistently until I get to where I need to be’.
Another question is, how do you react to your own lack of belief in yourself and your negative thoughts towards yourself? Do you accept and agree with those negative thoughts and beliefs or do you combat them with positive beliefs?
Today I want to introduce a tool called positive affirmation.
The secret sauce is that you can counter your own negative beliefs though positive affirmations.
If you are doubtful in yourself, but deep within you know that you can do it, but the dominant thought is that you can’t do it.
If that’s the case, then you need to look yourself in the mirror and say out loud, ‘I can do this!’ with power and confidence.
If you present yourself like you can do it, then your mind is going to accept it over time and get used to it.
Positive affirmation is a tool that you use when you feel weak or when you’re not feeling so good about yourself, it gets you into a positive mindset!
It might sound weird to talk to yourself in the mirror or to talk aloud but this is a practice that is evidence based and is proven to be successful in countering your negative beliefs.
So give it a try!
We have been purposefully starting off each session with a guided positive affirmation as we know how powerful this can be for you.
We have also a positive affirmation worksheet in this program, and we want you to read it to yourself daily to help combat negative beliefs, to renew your mind, and to counter fears. Make positive affirmations a part of your morning routines.
