Transcript:

The next tool that we’re going to talk about is mindfulness, having some level of mindfulness in your life is absolutely essential!

One of the things that happen so often is that sometimes you let your emotions get ahead of you, I’m too anxious, I’m uncomfortable, I can’t quiet that voice down, these are common experiences surrounding mindfulness. Mindfulness doesn’t mean that you have to be in a quiet place or be meditating or that your head is clear, Mindfulness is all about paying attention on purpose in a non-judgemental way.

Mindfulness is a great tool for trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, unhappiness, even chronic pain.

With mindfulness, you can overcome that negative self-talk. You can be mindful in any activity that you are doing, whether it is taking a walk, making your breakfast or brushing your teeth, all you have to do is to pay attention to the process. For example, As you walk, you can pay attention to your legs making strides or hitting the pavement. just pay attention purposefully for a specific amount of time in a non-judgemental way.

In this section, you can find a worksheet for mindfulness, take your time to work on that worksheet.
